MSB Juvenile Racewalkers shine at International Race Walk Series

An historic day for MSB as 10 Juvenile Racewalkers make their mark at the international race walk series in Raheny!

There were really solid performances from all the MSB juvenile athletes who were participating in the International Racewalk Series (Juvenille events) for the 1st time at St. Anne’s Park, Raheny.

First up were our under 10s, Dearbhla White took our first medal of the day with a terrific bronze while Dylan Mc Devitt was joint 5th in the boys.

Ryan McDevitt came an impressive 2nd in the under 16 boys - in a time of 15.04 for 3km. Harry Foley put in a battling peformance in the same race.

Our final race of the day was the under 14 girls, 2km race, which had a large entry in it. Mia Kaczmarek had a top 10 finish in a really strong field. Rachel McDevitt, Reece Peacock and Keeva Kildunne all put in really solid performances - racing a year up and 1km further than the indoors in February. Darcy Peacock unfortunately had to pull out early on with an injury.

A really good start ahead of the Dublin Indoor Championships in February. Many thanks to racewalking coaches Bruce, Rochelle, Ciara, Joanne and Janice for bringing the group to this point.

Many thanks too to Pierce O Callaghan and the whole event team including MSB’s Jackie Mulhall, a big thank you for all your work at such an enjoyable event.
