MSB athletes sparkle across 3 competitions in 3 countries

It was a big day for MSB as we had no less than 35 of our athletes competing across 3 competitions in 3 different countries.

First up saw a large portion of our club take to the roads of the Phoenix Park for the annual Jingle Bells 5K. Congratulations to the 31 MSB athletes who braved the freezing conditions this morning for the race organised by Donore Harriers.

There was great performances across the board. A special thanks to Donore's Charlie O'Neill for the stellar work in organising this year's race.

There were smiles all around and festive spirit galore post race with brilliant performances across the board.

Congratulations to the Senior Ladies team (Catherina Mullan, Sadhbh Mohan, Aisling Mohan and Caoimhe Kilroy) who took a brilliant 2nd place. Catherina finished 4th overall and Sadhbh also won the Junior Ladies race.

There was also notable performances by Finn Woodger who finished 15th overall in the men's race with a sublime sub 15 minute time of 14:58.

The full list of club competitors is available below.

A few kilometres up the M1 saw MSB's Sinead Lambe stormed to a new PB in Seeley Cup 10K. Congratulations Sinead.

Finally, and hoepfully warmer, congratulations to our 'warm weather' MSB athletes lucky enough to escape the winter chill. We had a lucky trio to take part in the Lanzarote's tropical Half Marathon today. Well done to Emma Gunn, Wes Nolan and Tom O'Neill for flying the MSB flag abroad.
